Latin is often called the dead language, but for Latin students the language was alive at the Area D Latin Competition where 73 Sandies placed is their categories and 51 qualified for the state competition in Austin on April 5-6.
The students competed in written tests, art, oral competitions and a trivia style competition known as the certamen. Students were able to compete in multiple competitions.
