Volleyball Dominates Lubbock Cooper

The volleyball team had a win against Lubbock Cooper on Tuesday. The scores were 25-16, 25-17, 25-17. Chelsie Freeman led the team with seven kills and two aces. Ashlyn Vineyard had five kills and three blocks. Piper Warren had 12 digs and two aces. They still remain second in the district. 

“This was a much needed win and come back from last weeks lost (Randall),” Vineyard said.  “We are still working on little kinks to fix, and with this win, we got some of them worked out.” 

The team had many improvements from last week’s loss. It was a much needed win to help bring the team back in the right mental state. 

“Winning this week made us stronger and helped us fix our errors,” Warren said. “It was a fun win and with the season progressing, it is making me cherish these girls even more.” 

This Saturday Amarillo High will host Lubbock Coronado at 12:00.
