Once Upon a Homecoming Parade

Homecoming parade kicks off the week
Once+Upon+a+Homecoming+Parade

After two years of cancellations due to weather and quarantines, the school reinstated the annual Homecoming Parade. Student Council will conduct the parade tonight at 6:30pm and it will travel down Fulton and around Puckett Elementary school. 

In the past the parade happened the Thursday before the game, but this year STUCO decided to reschedule for today to help reduce scheduling conflicts. This year’s theme is Disney which many clubs chose the classic Disney fare along with a few of their newer franchises such as Star Wars and Marvel.  

The parade leads with the Queen nominees  Ava Timmons, Emma Keister, and Hallee Leathers. For the first time King nominees Cade Hornecker, Gibson Egan, and Seth Meason. 

The Parade will include the Golden Sandie Band, Cheer, Football and the following floats

The clubs have spent the past couple of weeks working hard on their float designs. Band, as per tradition, will march while playing “Candance” and “Grandiso.” The Sandie Steppers along with the Cheerleaders will support their football team while doing chants and cheers. The Danbury Parking lot will be closed off starting at 4:00 p.m. till the end of the parade.

The game is Sept. 17 against Frenship at Dick Bivins stadium.
