Some predict the top 10 Halloween costumes this year will revolve around the Scream franchise, popular marvel characters, Hocus Pocus and Stranger Things. Although, throughout the last three years, four costumes have remained persistent: witches, clowns, Harley Quinn, and Spiderman. No movies of Harley Quinn or Spiderman have come out this year, so their Halloween costumes may not have as much popularity this year.
Due to the return of Stranger Things earlier this year, many people may dress up as new or recurring characters from the popular Netflix series. Stranger Things 4 debuted the fan-favorite character Eddie Munson, so many people may dress up as Eddie Munson on October 31. If possible, people will most likely also dress up as One, Henry Creel, due to his also popular character from season 4 of Stranger Things, and with Eleven’s iconic look coming back in season 4, some people may also dress up as her for Halloween.
Many horror movies came out this year as well as many iconic horror movie sequels. Halloween Ends, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Hellraiser all came out this year as sequels. Another Scream also came out this year after an 11-year break from the last movie, causing an uproar of Ghost Face content on social media. So, Ghost Face will most likely fall in the top ten Halloween costumes of this year.
Marvel and DC have both come out with a few movies and TV shows this year. DC has come out with Batman, Black Adam, as well as Harley Quinn season 3. The top ten costumes for the last three years have included Harley Quinn, yet the top ten list this year will most likely not include her.
