Sadie Choirs Sing Their Way Through District Auditions

The Sandie choir traveled to Pampa for the District Choir auditions on Monday, Sept. 25.
Out of the 140 students who auditioned, 63 made the choir with five alternates. They will advance to the Regional auditions on Nov. 4.
“My favorite part of the experience is getting to go through the audition process with my friends,” sophomore Elizabeth Worsham said. “We can all support each other and be happy for each other’s success.”
The auditions offer a unique experience where students can make memories and bond as a unit.
“The best part of the audition experience is when, at the very end, everyone that auditioned sits together as they call out the result,” junior Colton Hackett said. “Celebrating your friends’ success is always so much fun, even if you didn’t make it yourself. Moving on to the Region audition is intimidating for sure, but I can’t wait to see how we grow as a choir through this experience.”
The choir shows excitement about their placements and continues to prepare for the next round of auditions.
“I am super excited to have done well in this audition,” senior Emmalynn Reilly said. “It took a ton of hard work and practice, but it was definitely worth it. God has blessed me with a talent, and I am thankful for this opportunity to perform and compete.”
The music will become more difficult as the students advance to regionals, however, they plan to push forward by working hard to improve.
“The next round’s music looks pretty challenging and fun, and I’m eager to start working on it,” senior Elanna Weber said.
