Due to a weather cancellation, the first game of the season between the Sandstorm Football team and the Odessa High Bronchos ended with the Sandies up 6-0. 

Wide receiver Bryson Brown scored the first and only touchdown of the game on a 90-yard kick return. Soon after, officials called the game at 9:44 P.M. after numerous lightning delays. As of now, the game will not count towards either of the teams’ overall records.
