The band “Seether” released an album/playlist “Seether Workout.” A playlist made with some of their most popular and heavy songs from albums like Disclaimer, Karma and Effect and Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces to help get through a workout. Here are my top five songs from “Seether Workout.”
The first song on the list “Fake it” has some of the best lyrics and the instrumentals to get you fired up to lift some weights and to help get through an entire workout.
The next song on the list “Because of Me” has a fast tempo with heavy guitar riffs and depressing lyrics. The last quarter of the song, the singer, Shaun Morgan screams with a guitar solo in the background then cuts to the last chorus. This part reminds me of getting that final rep in.
The third song on the list “Dead and Done” is a great song to listen to while lifting weights. The slow, creepy tempo and the angry screams helps when doing bench presses and bicep curls.
The next song on the list “Remedy” has a faster tempo compared to all the other songs on the list. The WWE used the song as the theme song for their Pay Per View “SummerSlam” in 2005 and also featured in the hype video for the main event. The beginning of the song helps motivate you to get into the workout with the high note guitar into the small drum break that leads to the guitar riff.
The last song on the list and my favorite song on this album “See You at the Bottom” has an overall tone of the song that seems so angry and emotional to where it sets you in a “lock in” like mode to stay motivated especially while struggling during a rep.
I recommend the entire album for your workout playlist, but I recommend these 5 songs the most. These songs, because of the reasons explained, prove to be the best soundtrack for a hard workout.
