The baseball team has captured the District Champion Title on April 26.
The Sandie baseball team suffered an 10-4 loss against the Randall Raiders on April 23 which put the title in jeopardy. They were able to bounce back in their final district game against Lubbock High with a 8-3 win which secured the title.
“We were very determined to finish off district strong. We didn’t let the loss against Randall stop us from taking care of business,” Junior Memo Frausto said.
The Sandies’ first play playoff game is Thursday, May 2nd and Saturday, May 4th where they will face Wichita Falls Rider at Hoskins Field in Wichita Falls.
