After a three year disappearance, Harry Styles finally emerged back into the music world in late Dec. 2025. Through a youtube video covering his previous Love On Tour in 2023, the popstar announced his new slogan “We Belong Together,” and on Jan. 12, 2026, he began to tease his fourth studio album through a website, Instagram profile and posters around the world. Later on Jan. 15, the announcement of the long awaited album “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally” was shared through social media with a cover, title and release date of March 6, 2026.
Styles announced a single leading up to the album called “Aperture.” Different from many of his previous music with notes of electropop and techno beats, “Aperture” explores Styles’ vulnerability and embraces a new perspective. The song is a 5-minute house-inspired opener to the album “Kiss All the Time Disco, Occasionally.” “Aperture” goes in depth with a constant theme of “Letting the Light In.” Styles uses the dictionary term, to open as the song title to highlight “Aperture’s” deeper meaning of opening up to a deeper perspective after taking time off. The single, as the beginning of the album, sets up the album as a joyous journey to finding oneself after absence.
A song near the middle of the album, “Taste Back” brings both electricity and calmness. It begins with conveying the fact that humans typically go back to something familiar with the lyrics “Not quite ‘here we go again’, But how’ve you been?” The song’s most popular lyric “Did you get your taste back? Or do you just need a little love?” provides a feeling of returning to something seen as nostalgic or intimate due to loneliness or reminiscing, addressing the issue of actually wanting a relationship or just the comfort that came with.
The ninth song on the album, “Dance No More,” grasps a lot of disco sounds. Talking about how “DJs don’t dance no more” provides an eye-opening realization of how time has changed the music scene, but the lyrics “it’s feeling like the music has been Heaven sent” help the listener understand that the change can appear beneficial. The continuing idea throughout the song of “Keep your customer satisfied and live your life” and “We wanna dance with all our friends” help the listener also assume that in order to live life to the fullest they must do what they want.
The previous song on the album, “Coming Up Roses” transforms the album from disco to a more emotional setting. The song solidifies the album title of “Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally” by implying connection with the lyrics, “There’s only me and you.” These repeated lyrics throughout the song emphasized Styles’ calling to embrace an imperfect relationship. The use of piano and orchestral strings symbolize the simplicity overlooked in love, while the vocals enhance the importance of raw and intimate love. “Coming Up Roses: serves as a good break in the album from the upbeat disco style to a soft and raw feeling of vulnerability through Styles’ choice of lyrics.
The final song on the album, “Carla’s Song,” enhances the lighthearted and emotional side of the album. The song brings an upbeat rhythm mixed with relaxed lyrics such as “It’s all waiting there for you” to explore the joy found in performing and listening to music. Many described the song as similar to Styles’ previous hit Satellite in his “Harry’s House” album, with similar thematic feel. Overall, the song closes the album perfectly with a cheerful exit.
All of these favorite songs capture the well known and popular sound of Harry Styles and have quickly climbed the charts to become world favorites.
“Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally” holds 12 songs and lasts for 42 minutes, similar to his previous albums. The album brings a 70’s and 80’s feel along with an upbeat and high energy to listeners, while introducing ideas of pressure, anxiety and self acceptance from fame. Nine songs have high energy and exciting instrumentals, while three tracks take a more mellow route. Out of the 12 songs, many can sound similar due to the disco feel, but the complex lyrics set them each apart. Fans have expressed positive reviews toward the trending album with some criticism of the unfamiliar, changing and new sound of Harry Styles.
