Two rounds deep into playoffs, the Sandies head down to Childress for a contest against the Rider Raiders. The Sandies come off a game against Eastlake where they won 62-46, while on the other side of the bracket Rider comes in after a grind of win over Chapin in a final of 35-30. While Amarillo high looks like the hotter team heading into this game, on paper they look just as good.
Rider’s wins have been a grind of late with finals within six points in three of the last six games. Rider has struggled to score as well and against the Sandies they’ll be in for an even longer game as any player Jason Pilllon has coached knows how to lock an offense down. The Sandies seem to have hit their stride offensively and this is the time for that to happen.
Rider will have a hard time changing the pace of the game against The Sandies so for a score prediction something like Amarillo 56 – Rider 32 seems likely.
