This year’s volleyball team won district opener against Lubbock Cooper. The scores were 25-17,25-12, 25-20. Senior, Hannah Shipman, had eight kills and 21 assists. Senior, Lauren Marler, also had eight kills along with three blocks. Senior, Corrin Davis, had ten digs. This great season start leads the team to 14-10 record.
“I am super excited to play my senior year here, and with a new coach, it is such a great learning experience,” Hannah Shipman said.
Coach Mike Moffit took the head coaching job for this season, and the team will hopefully bring many more wins. With his amount of coaching experience, he hopes to take on State.
“It was a fun opener for district, especially since it was a win,” Lauren Marler said. “We just got done beating Tascosa, and all the games after that are even more fun.”
